The development plan of a university is a kind of highly guided campus management method,which plays an irreplaceable role in the development of education.It is also essential for the development of a university in scientific innovation,and communication with diverse universities and colleges at home and abroad.At present,there are many studies on the translation of development plans in the fields of economy,transportation,etc.,but there are few studies on the development plans of colleges and universities.Therefore,the C-E translation of The 13 th Five-Year Development Plan of Shandong University of Science and Technology can carry great implications on international institutions exchanges and educational modernization.Under the guidance of Vermeer's skopos theory,the report explores the C-E translation strategies of the source text.Besides the introduction and the conclusion,this translation report consists of four chapters.Chapter One is the task description,which includes the introduction of the source text,text features,background information and the significance.Chapter Two describes the process of the translation task,including preparations before translation,time arrangement of this task and quality control.Chapter Three is the case analysis,which belongs to the core part of this translation report.It studies the translation strategies for the school development plan texts at lexical,syntactic and discourse levels based on the skopos theory.Chapter Four is the conclusion of the translation practice and some unsolved problems.By researching appropriate translation methods for the translation of school development plans,the author hopes this report can provide some reference values for the translation of the development plans and the exchange and cooperation between domestic and foreign universities.
