Translation Teaching Strategies Based On The Analysis Of Errors In English-chinese Translation Of Sports English News

With the development of the "Belt and Road" and the successful hosting of the Asian Games,and the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics in China,sports cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world are bound to become more and more frequent.News,as a way to spread sports culture,the value of sports English news is also very important.The social demand for sports English news translators is becoming more and more urgent.Therefore,the importance and necessity of ESP translation teaching in promoting the cultivation of sports English news translation talents are more and more obvious.How to improve the correct translation rate of sports news in translation teaching is the main problem of this paper.This study tests the sports news translation of the graduate students of Shandong Sport University in 2016.Through the statistical analysis of the errors in their translations,the research methods of literature,interview,case and qualitative analysis are used to draw the relevant conclusions.This paper puts forward some strategies of translation teaching.Conclusion:Through the collation and analysis of the translated manuscripts,it is found that the main errors are grammar,vocabulary and translation skills.Among them,there are some other problems,such as the lack of perfect degree,the lack of sports background knowledge,and so on.The main reasons for the errors include poor mastery of basic knowledge,lack of English and Chinese language skills,problems in the overall grasp of the article,lack of knowledge of translation skills,lack of timely supplement of sports background knowledge,and poor English reading ability.The ability of organizing and logic of Chinese language is poor.Strategies for Translation Teaching:(1)emphasis on basic education;(2)pay attention to students' English and Chinese language ability;(3)supplement knowledge of translation theory and translation skills;(4)supplement knowledge of sports background;(5)improve students' ability to read foreign language articles;6,improve students' English-Chinese writing ability;7,improve PE translation teaching methods.
