Translation Variation Theory Applied To Consecutive Interpreting

This is a translation practice report.The author interpreted for Ningxia Jinhai Xingsheng Silicon Carbide Co.,Ltd and Mozambique delegation from June 9trh to 11th,2018 in Shizuishan,Ningxia.In the process of interpretation,duo to the author's weak note-taking ability and lack of interpreting practice,she met many difficulties.There appeared loose sentence structure,vague meaning,and repetition in the interpreting.Variation Theory,proposed by Professor Huang Zhonglian,studies about "variation"— aiming to convey the meaning and achieve communication between authors and readers as effective as possible.In accordance with the Translation Variation Theory,this practice report aims to analyze and solve the problems the author met in the process of interpretation,and testify the applicability of the theory in interpreting with concrete cases.
