A Project Report On The Translation Of BASF Upgrading Project Of Pudong Base Wastewater Station

In recent years,the demand for engineering and technical translation is becoming larger and larger with increasingly close exchange and cooperation in engineering technology at home and abroad.Translation of engineering technology plays a very important role in the specific operation and implementation of a project.The translation project called BASF Upgrading Project of Pudong Base Wastewater Station belongs to engineering and technical translation and aims to provide text convenience for the upgrading of wastewater station.In the course of translation,the author is faced with three major issues and difficulties,namely,translation of technical terms,translation of four-character structures and translation of long and complex sentences.What is more,the author puts forward strategies at the level of lexicon,syntax and text By means of comparison and contrast between the Chinese and English language,the author realizes the importance of conveying the source text in a targeted,accurate,concise and integral way.Meanwhile,the author is aware that a thorough understanding of source language and target language,expansion of knowledge and accumulation of translation experiences play a self-evident role in ensuring translation quality.
