Possibility And Limitation Of Poetic Justice

Justice is the focus of common concern of law and literature.However,the judicial system maintains the minimum social justice.Literature can make up for the shortcomings of the law and,to a certain extent,complement the legal justice.From the perspective of justice,this paper explores the relationship between law and literature.Nussbaum's "poetic justice" mainly focuses on the problem of legal alienation,stressing that the realization of justice depends not only on rationality,but also on imagination and emotional rationality,so that judicious spector can become neutral and impartial judges.On this basis,the author chooses different perspectives,through specific text analysis,carefully examines the relationship between law and literature,and explores the possibilities and limits of poetic justice.The full text is divided into five parts,as follows.The introduction part includes the research background,the purpose and significance of the research,and the research status at home and abroad.Define the research object of the paper-poetic justice,determine the main research methods,and sort out the general ideas of the article.The first chapter of the thesis mainly introduces and combs Nussbaum's theory of poetic justice.Based on Nussbaum's masterpiece "Poetic Justice:The Literary Imagination and Public Life",this paper expounds the concept of "Poetic Justice".Chapter two chooses the legal issues of children,women and blacks,which are politically excluded and marginalized,and uses specific literary texts to discover the ethical basis that can transcend the alienation of each other's living conditions.The third chapter mainly discusses the Enlightenment of poetic justice to us,mainly including its theoretical contributions and defects,and reflects on the relationship between law and literature,and makes more reflections on justice.The conclusion attempts to make an outline-leading induction and emphasis on the main points of the paper,emphasizing the connotation and significance of "poetic justice" and reflecting on the inadequacies in the research of the paper.
