This thesis wakes a study of the historical origins of modal adverbs in Mandarin that denote identification and emphasise signification.Modal adverbs are the largest subcategory of adverbs, and in this regard, modal adverbs that denote identification and emphasise signification were the largest number. But the problem is that in the existing research, they are basically listed and described at the level of mood adverbs. To be honest, the systematic research on them is very insufficient. In this paper, the mood adverbs which denote confirm classes and emphasis classes are regarded as a subclass of mood adverbs, and then named as "confirm classes"(emphasis classes).Firstly, this paper defines its concept and divides it into two groups: confirm classes and emphasis classes. Then, this paper retrieves 75 word members related to them from Modern Chinese Dictionary. Then they are grouped and inspected one by one,and their performances in the remote ages, the middle ancient times, early modern times, late modern times are inspected. Then through observation, their generation, some changes in morphology, meaning, and pragmatics, and some of their evolutionary mechanisms are analyzed.Through a series of investigations, the basic conclusion is that in the remote ages, the middle ancient times, early modern times, late modern times, the number of mood adverbs related to confirm classes in the four stages is 15,9,11 and16,respectively.There are 3,4,8 and 9sub-classes of modal adverbs about emphasis classes.Their development is characterized by imbalance and gradual change, and the factors that influence their evolution are mainly the location of frequency, the mechanism of prosody, the role of analogy and the reanalysis of structure. This paper combines description and induction, and then adopts a series of characteristics of statistical data and its related changes.
