Around the turn of the 1970 s and 1980 s,Tsui Hark launched a new wave of Hong Kong cinema with a film called ?The Butterfly Murders?.Over the next few years,Tsui Hark made films such a?sWe're Going to Eat You ?and?Dangerous Encounters of the First Kind?,these films giving him a place in Hong Kong cinema.WhenTsui Hark inherits and develops the traditional Hong Kong martial arts films,he constantly infuses new elements into them and makes his films stamped with the brand of "Xu's Film".Throughout Tsui Hark's film and television creation process in the past 40 years,his martial arts films has achieved good results in the film market and he also get excellent reputation.Through three chapters,this paper analyzes and studies the creation style of Tsui Hark's martial arts films from the aspects of style elements and style background.This paper first gives a phased overview of Tsui Hark's film works created during his 40 years in the film and television industry from three aspects: Exploration and Development,Integration and Innovation,Back to the courage and Leap.Then select the representative significance of film to the ?The Butterfly Murders??A Chinese Ghost Story ??Swordsman??New Dragon Gate Inn ??Detective D??Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon??Through seven films for the study of text,this paper expounds the stylistic elements of tsui hark's monster wuxia films from four aspects: narrative technique,camera movement,scene construction,and color selection and collocation.In the end,the author goes deep into the nature of the martial arts movie style of Tsui Hark and his view on film--desire,namely rivers and lakes,and then analyzes the meaning of the martial arts movie style of Tsui HarkThrough the use of special effects and suspenseful stories presented by Tsui Hark,this paper attempts to delve into the time-space construction and spectacle of his troubled society,and then to probe into the creative content and essence of Tsui Hark's martial arts films and the cultural core behind them.In the film language to the film behind the cultural expression of the exploration of Tsui Hark's strange martial arts films in the unique creative style and aesthetic value.
