This study is aimed to select the appropriate Korean neologisms for Chinese learners by using both an objective and subjective method.The new words published by The National Institute of the Korean Language from 1st July 2013 to 30 th June 2014 was analyzed and a glossary was listed for beginner and intermediate/advanced learners in China.Some brief suggestions for teaching Korean neologisms was proposed.The first chapter of the paper introduces the research purposes,research significance,research background,research methodologies and the source of the linguistic data.The second chapter introduces the theoretical basis and the standard of selecting neologisms.The third chapter and the fourth chapter show the investigation conducted to the Chinese learners and Korean teachers in China.Three questionnaire surveys were conducted: 1)the current study situation of Chinese learners,2)the previous knowledge of new Korean words amongst Chinese learners,3)the teacher' s opinion in teaching new Korean words.The fifth chapter listed the Korean neologisms glossary for students in beginner and intermediate/advanced level.76 new words were chosen for beginner learners and 82 new words were chosen for intermediate/ advanced learners.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the paper and some teaching suggestions for Korean teachers in China were presented.
