At the beginning of the 21 st century,globalization has occupied the center of the world stage,and enterprises from all over the world have gone out of the country one after another to embrace the world market.In recent years,as one of the most active economic forces in the world in terms of outbound investment,with the increasing economic and trade exchanges between China and Germany and the huge attraction of the Chinese market,German companies have begun to pour into the Chinese market.German-owned enterprises and German-Chinese joint ventures have injected strong vitality into China's economic development.However,whether it is a German-owned enterprise or a German-Chinese joint venture,it is inevitable to encounter cross-cultural interpersonal conflicts from the micro point of view of the employees of the enterprise.On the one hand,the Chinese people,who are deeply influenced by Confucian culture and Chinese traditional value system,are full of sensibility;on the other hand,the Germans are famous for their rationality and logic.As the carrier of this culture,individuals often feel incredible about each other's behavior and values when they interact with individuals belonging to foreign cultures.In this sense,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the cultural conflicts in the business transactions between Chinese and German employees.Therefore,this paper takes FAW-Volkswagen as the main research object.The method of this paper is qualitative research method.In addition,this paper also chooses 14 Chinese employees and 6 German employees of FAW-Volkswagen to sum up the focus of cross-cultural conflict in interpersonal communication in Sino-German joint ventures-"face","human feelings" and "trust",and the way in which the two sides deal with contradictions and conflicts,on the basis of cross-cultural theory,this paper probes into and analyzes it,and compares the similarities and differences between Chinese and German cultures.The innovation of this paper lies in the following points: First,innovation in topic selection.According to the author's investigation and research,the focus of Sino-German cross-cultural conflict is German sole proprietorship,while few Sino-German joint ventures are involved.Therefore,the selection of FAW-Volkswagen as the research object of this topic is conducive to enriching and improving the theories and practices related to Sino-German cross-cultural conflict.Second,the innovation of research methods.In this study,qualitative investigation method was mainly used.By enlightening the employees of China and Germany to recall and describe the process of interpersonal communication,this paper tries to reproduce the scene of cross-cultural communication and the focus of conflict between the two sides.
