A Study Of The Advent Of Chinese New Literature From The Folklore Perspective

Folklore plays an extremely important role in the emergence of new literature.During the critical period of the May 4th New Literature Reform,it greatly promoted the development of new literature.From the perspective of folklore,The Ballad Movement of Peking University is one of the most critical links in the study of the occurrence of new literature.As an important part of the New Culture Movement,The Ballad Movement is an important literary phenomenon in the period of Chinese literature transformation.This movement started from the May 4th intellectuals' call for civilian literature and human literature.It is the inevitable choice of intellectuals' value orientation in the new period.At the same time,it gives new literature a stronger civilian color.In the early stage of the construction of new literature,intellectuals of the May 4th Movement not only collected and introduced folk literature,but also attracted the attention of new literary writers.This is a new way of development for the construction of new literature.It also promotes the spread of folk culture.This paper is divided into three parts.The introduction part mainly explains the reasons for choosing this topic,introduces the research status of the relationship between folklore and new literature at home and abroad,and expounds the ideas and innovations of the article.The main body is divided into three chapters.The first chapter discusses the intellectual's conscious choice to the people under the influence of the enlightenment trend of thought.It focuses on the specific activities that the intellectuals have made around the Peking University Ballad Research Association and the significance of these activities to the construction of the May 4th New Literature.The development of the Ballad Movement not only promotes the change of the new literature at the linguistic level,but also promotes the content and form of the new literature.The innovation,more importantly,makes the civilian thought deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,and lays the foundation for the popularization of literature.In the second chapter,from the perspective of the language change of new literature,it is found that intellectuals in the vernacular movement pay great attention to the colloquial expressions and vulgar words,and that there are abundant colloquial expressions and vulgar words in dialects,which provide a lot of resources for the language change of new literature and promote the investigation and research of dialects by colleagues of the Song Research Association.This research has greatly promoted the innovation of the May 4th New Literature Language.This is the case.Then,it analyses the influence of dialects and proverbs on modern Chinese literature from the examples of translation,new poetry,novel,prose and other new literary creation.The third chapter discusses the influence of Ballad Movement on the creation of new literature.The free form and sincere emotion of ballads provide an aesthetic standard that can be imitated in the creation of new poetry.Then,summarizes that the Ballad Movement and the new literature movement are interacted and inseparable,and then introduces the influence of the rhyme of the Ballad Movement on the development of modern Chinese literature.The aesthetic pursuit of popularization in Chinese literature during the Anti-Japanese War is the product of the Ballad Movement and the follow-up of this movement.Although the life span of the Ballad Movement in Peking University is short,its influence on modern Chinese literature is lasting and far-reaching.The concluding part analyses the change of the intellectuals' attitudes towards the people after the May 4th Movement,that is,from blindly criticizing to appreciating and sympathizing,from using folk resources to enlightening the ignorant people at the bottom to washing the upper nobles' minds by introducing the truth,goodness and beauty in folk culture.
