The keynote speech of the 4thh Shandong International Masses Art Festival Forum is chosen the a simulated Chinese-English simultaneous interpreting material in this report. The keynote speech of this forum mainly introduces the related issues of upcoming the 9th National Calligraphy Study Seminar organized by the Chinese Calligraphers Association. The interpreter hopes contribute to the publicity of the Calligraphy Study Seminar through this simulated simultaneous interpreting practice. At the same time, through this practice, the interpreter can learn some lessons and enhance her practice capability. This report is based on Gile's Effort Model.Gile believes that the Effort Model for simultaneous interpreting includes four parts:Listening and Analysis Effort?L?,the Speech Production Effort?P?,the Short-term Memory Effort?M?and Coordination Effort?C?.And in the process of simultaneous interpreting, the above parts may proceed simultaneously. In addition,Gile believes that the total processing capacity requirements of the simultaneous interpreting is equal to the sum of capacity requirements for L,P,M and C.Based on Giles Effort Model, the interpreter divides the problems encountered in the simultaneous interpreting process into three categories:fuzzy syntactic structure, high density of information and redundancy, and terminology. The interpreter proposes corresponding simultaneous interpreting tactics for these three types of problems, such as segmentation, omission and explaining. Finally, the interpreter makes a post-interpreting self-evaluation based on her performance in the simultaneous interpreting practice and submits the recording to her supervisor for evaluation. The interpreter hopes that these works can provide a reference for future study and practice.
