Report On English-Chinese Translation Of Training Material Of Design Of Machine Elements

With the development of economic globalization,the machinery industry is also developing rapidly.In order to learn foreign advanced technology,there is an increasing demand for translation of mechanical texts.The source material of this translation report comes from the introduction,the sixth and the seventh chapters of Design of Machine Elements,which aims to provide training materials for automotive accessories companies.This translation report consists of five chapters.The first chapter is a brief introduction to the translation practice,including the background information,significance of the translation practice and the requirements of clients.The second chapter concerns the process of translation,consisting of preparation and implementation of translation.The third chapter mainly talks about post-translational modification.The fourth chapter is case study,which mainly analyzes some examples from lexical and syntactic levels.The lexical level explores the translation of professional vocabulary,general vocabulary specialization and conversion of part of speech.At the syntactic level,the translation of passive voice and attributive clauses are discussed.The last chapter is a summary of the whole translation practice process.
