In the rapid development of technology and information,market competition is increasingly fierce today,the visual image design gradually guide enterprises,publicity activities towards maturity.At the same time,the mascot,which can directly and popularly express the corporate spirit in the image design,has gradually entered people's vision with the maturity of the commercial brand and become the focus of many research topics.Mascots,as an art form suitable for men,women and children,are deeply loved by the public and have a wide range of applications.In addition to large-scale social activities,publicity,corporate image of the conventional application,more and more cities also began to pay attention to the use of mascots.The city mascot is the most humane link to promote the development of the city.They are often exaggerated to shape interesting,humorous action is good at humor,many good design of the city mascot popular,continue to create considerable economic benefits for the region.However,the design quality of domestic city mascots varies,few far-reaching design works.In the face of the impact of various image communication,how to maintain the characteristics of local traditional culture and at the same time with international standards? How should the city's cultural characteristics be conveyed through the mascot? In the face of all these problems.This research will be devoted to exploring the design flaws of domestic urban mascots and finding effective design methods.Through the interpretation of successful cases and the analysis of poorly designed mascots,combined with the experience learned from the actual case of funing in which the author participated,the design methods and application of mascots will be explored theoretically.
