The “Belt and Road Initiative” aims to build a community of politically mutual trust, economic integration and cultural inclusion by strengthening cooperation with countries along the “Belt and Road” route, which has great significance for China and the world. Therefore, researches on international projects in which Chinese engineering enterprises participate are conducive to cooperation between China and the countries along the “Belt and Road” route, thus helping China to speak louder in the world. The translator chooses “The Belt and Road Initiative”—Chinese Engineering Enterprises “Going Global”(chapter 13)as the source text, namely Kamchay Hydroelectric BOT Project in Cambodia. As the first Chinese BOT project in “Belt and Road” countries, the Kamchay Project opens up new prospects both for China and Cambodia.Considering the nature of the text, the translator expects that the target readers may include heads of government, company executives and the public in countries along the “Belt and Road” route. In the translation practice, the whole task is under the guidance of Reiss' s Text Typology Theory.According to the categorization of text types of Reiss' s Text Typology Theory, the source text falls into the category of informative text with its focus on content and information. The main information is about the related Chinese engineering enterprises and the process of implementing the project.Challenges encountered in the translation process include uncommon terminologies, words with Chinese characteristics, many scattered short sentences, long sentences and some luxuriant expressions. Therefore,to accurately convey the information, the translator adopts literal translation, free translation, conversion, division, explicitation, etc.in dealing with the problems under the guidance of Reiss' s Text Typology Theory.
