The remake drama has a long history and has its practical significance.In recent years,the expansion of the TV drama market has become one of the reasons for promoting the development of remakes.Secondly,the state administration of radio,film and television(sat)has carried out several policy regulations on the current situation of the TV drama industry,and many film and television companies have made creative choices to reduce the rating risk by remaking TV dramas with a good reputation.Finally,audiences have increasingly intense demands for realistic TV dramas.Japanese TV dramas,with their characteristics of similar culture,broad themes,delicate emotions,and topic discussion,have become hot spots for remakes of Chinese overseas TV dramas during this period.The artistry of Women in Shanghai comes from the reservation of the advantages of Women in Tokyo and the innovative creation of the second time.From the Japanese drama Women in Tokyo to the remake of Women in Shanghai,it is a thriving cultural integration and artistic re-creation.This paper analyses the creative and cultural features of Women in Tokyo and Women in Shanghai and then interprets the composition and presentation of visual symbols in the two plays.Audiovisual symbols are the key to the construction and interpretation of TV texts.Starting from the three specific images of buttonwood,Shanghai dialect and advertising company,this paper explores how visual symbols represent their inner meanings in the play.Shanghai dialect is the cultural representation of superiority and taste,the cultural capital of Shanghai's identity,and understanding how these complex symbols come together to express meaning is the fundamental thesis of this paper.The creators of remakes present cultural connotations in the form of visual symbols and auditorysymbols in their creation.The cultural edification they receive in the process of socialization and the accumulation of long-term experience in watching dramas are the premises for the audience to interpret these symbols successfully.It is imperative to develop effective localization strategy of remaking,and the integration of mainstream values and mass culture is the key.To some extent,the audience's acceptance of the remade drama reflects the depth of the combination of mainstream values and popular culture.The reproduction scene setting,exaggerated acting skills of actors and plots with Japanese characteristics in the remade show the lack of localization.The paper studies the plot setting,characters,conditions of the remake set in combination with the current domestic TV series creator in they remake aspects of exploration,developing effective TV localization strategy,in terms of subject selection,creative,artistic expression to better promote the domestic original series creation,conducive to the healthy and benign development of the TV industry in China.As an imaginative recreation,remaking a drama should not only stay at the level of entertainment but also serve as a kind of social culture.The ideological trend,social form and contradiction of the society will be reflected in public through TV drama art to different degrees.
