The Study On Shanghai New Pu Yu Tang

Since the opening of Shanghai,the economic and ideological and cultural exchanges between Shanghai society and the West have been strengthened,and the Shanghai Society has also moved from tradition to modernization,and Shanghai Philanthropy has entered the process of modernization.The New Pu yu tang Dynasty,formerly known as the traditional good Hall established in Shanghai in the late Qing Dynasty,is the Pu Tong.In the early years of the Republic of China,after the establishment of Shanghai City Hall began plotting to restructure the old Pu,in 1912 to re-locate the construction of the new hall and named " New Pu yu tang ".This paper attempts to sort out the history of the new Pu in Shanghai by collecting the relevant historical materials from the newspapers,archives and Local Chronicles of the Republic of China from the perspective of the new Pu,and to explore the role of the new Pu in the social development of modern Shanghai around the new Pu and the Shanghai City Hall and the relationship with Shanghai Catholicism.At the same time,on the basis of absorbing the previous research results and experiences,the author combines the new Pu and the old Pu to study,and points out the inheritance relationship and historical origin of the new Pu and Pu in some aspects.Finally,after examining the development course of Shanghai New Pu,this paper summarizes the historical experience and lessons,and puts forward some suggestions for the development and construction of the current social charitable organizations,hoping to absorb these beneficial experiences and avoid some drawbacks of the modern charitable organization.
