In the process of socialization of children,the development of mental health and personality is a very significant aspect,in which the formation of self-consciousness is particularly important.Mental health is influenced by many factors,and there are many studies on self-concept,self-awareness,physical self-esteem,self-confidence,and self-efficacy.Nowadays the research on the psychological impact of sports has also received widespread attention from researchers and society.By studying the effect of Latin dance learning on the body self-esteem and self-confidence of6-12-year-olds,this study attempts to find out the effect and influence of Latin dance learning on the body self-esteem and self-confidence of 6-12-year-olds,in order to find new ways and methods in which sports can promote children's mental health Self-confidence and physical self-esteem,at the same time to lay a good foundation for the development of mental health.The purpose of this study is to enable children to establish correct physical concepts and self-confidence and cultivate children's good psychological quality,to enter puberty with a good psychological state and promote the all-round development of students,therefore to provide theoretical and realistic basis for children to adapt to society better.In this study,the methods of literature review,psychological measurement,mathematical statistics,logical analysis and experimental method were used.The study mainly used experimental method to take 80 6-12-year-old children from the Latin dance interest class of Hunan University of Science and Technology affiliated primary school as the experimental group,and 80 6-12-year-old children in the regular class of primary school affiliated with Hunan University of Science and Technology University as the control group for a semester of Latin dance study.Through the data analysis before and after the experiment,the difference between the physical self-esteem and self-confidence of the Group of Children learning Latin Dance and the group of children who did not learn Latin dance was compared.Research indicates:1.The physical self-esteem of the children was in the middle level as a whole,and the self-confidence was generally below the moderate level.Nearly half of the children in the study were at a low level of self-confidence.2.There were no statistical differences in physical self-esteem and self-confidence scores between the experimental group and the control group before the experiment.The physical self-esteem and self-confidence of the experimental group and the control group were at the same level in the initial stage of the experiment.3.After the experiment,the physical self-esteem and self-confidence of the experimental group were significantly higher than that of the control group.Meanwhile,there was a significant difference in the physical self-esteem and self-confidence between the experimental group and the control group,indicating that Latin dance learning is conducive to improving the physical self-esteem and self-confidence of children.4.Of the experimental group,the physical self-esteem and self-confidence after the experiment were significantly higher than before.There were significant differences in physical self-esteem and self-confidence score before and after the experiment.It shows that the learning of Latin dance has greatly improved the physical self-esteem and self-confidence of children aged 6-12.5.Of the control group,there was no significant difference in physical self-esteem and self-confidence before and after the experiment.It shows that the physical self-esteem and self-confidence during the experiment are not obviously interfered by external factors.
