A Report On The Consecutive Interpreting Of "A Brief History Of China's Automobile Industry"

With the acceleration of economic globalization,communications between different nations and regions become more and more frequent,and therefore interpreters assume an indispensable role in the communications between different languages and cultures.On Dec.9^th,2017 when members of Mini BMW Club Kunming met for the first time,the author provided Chinese into English consecutive interpreting service for it.This report is based on a lecture themed as�A Brief History of China's Automobile Industry�.In reviewing the task process,the author gives introductions to the interpreting task and the pre-task preparation.She describes what she has done in different preparation stages in detail,and discusses the difficulties she encountered in the pre-task preparation.Under the guidance of the interpretive theory,the interpreter analyzes typical examples and puts forward better interpretations.Through the case study,the author realizes that the interpretive theory not only efficiently guide the interpreting practice,but also helps the interpreter to reflect on her interpreting quality.Through the description of the interpreting task and case study,the author gains implications as follows:adequate preparation would be helpful for the interpreter to demonstrate confidence,reduce the time from comprehension to delivering interpretation and improve the accuracy and fluency of the interpretation.Accumulation of knowledge in various fields is also significant,for it can help the interpreter to reduce the time to think and improve interpretation quality.The author hopes that through writing this report,her interpretation quality could be improved and that the report could provide relevant implications for the interpreting practitioners in automobile industry.
