Research purposes: The sports dance class in artistic physical education curriculum ofsports as the content, the students in learning sports dance course, to appreciate beauty andtemperament beauty and physical beauty, gesture, subtly cultivate and improve theirawareness of beauty, ability to identify and appreciate the ability, through personal body thechange of the external form and internal personal cognition, improve the art accomplishment,promote students’ physical and mental health development, cultivation of artistic expression,eventually form a high self-esteem and stable psychological endurance. The object of study:which school athletics fasten student120people,80boys and girls40people.60peopleintervene sports dance optional experimental group, select60people as control group, don’tdo any sports during the experiment strictly control group don’t participate in other sports.Research methods: using Xu Xia revision of the “physical self-esteem scale” to explore sportsdance optional what effect on the improvement of the college students’ body self-esteem. Tophysical self-esteem scale of120people,"Chinese college students’ body self-esteem scale"questionnaire before class a questionnaire, the questionnaire with the hair, choose the sportsdance optional60students as experimental group, did not take from the athletics sports danceselection of60people as control group. Through16weeks, a total of32hours of sports danceelective course of study, then to physical self-esteem scale of120people "Chinese collegestudents’ body self-esteem scale" questionnaire. A questionnaire, will the body indexes arecompared, and vertical and horizontal double through the multiple regression analysis, toavoid the impact of individual differences. Research Results:(1)The research object ofphysical self-esteem scored an average of73.25(2) Before the experiment, the experimentalgroup and control group no significant difference body self-esteem level of overallsignificance (P>0.05)(3) The boy in the aspect of health, sports ability and physical qualitythan before the trial has significant difference (P <0.05), In terms of physical attractivenessand physical self-worth than before the trial had very sex difference (P <0.01); Girls inphysical self-worth, athletic ability, physical condition, physical quality than before theexperiment have significant difference (p <0.05), in terms of physical attractiveness thanbefore the trial had very significant difference (p <0.01) before and after the boys and girls (4)Control group in the experimental dimensions of physical self-esteem were no significantdifferences (p>0.05)(5) The experimental group and control group in physical self-esteem inall dimensions (sports ability, physical condition, physical quality, physical self-esteem scores)and total scores of physical self-esteem exist significant difference (p <0.05); In physical attractiveness and physical self-worth dimensions are very significant differences(p<0.01).
