With the development of globalization and the advancement of science and technology, the communication between countries has gradually deepened. The improvement of medical technology in various countries has brought about more and more frequent exchanges and learning between Chinese and foreign medical communities. The translation of medical documents has cross-linguistic and cross-cultural significance. As the carrier of the latest scientific research achievements,it promotes the reference of medical experience among countries, spreads new discoveries to ethnic groups and even brings new breakthroughs. Therefore,in the process of China's foreign medical communication, the importance of medical documents translation is self-evident,and it is closely related to human health. In the above context, the original text of this translation report is selected from a comprehensive medical text called Getting Drugs Across Biological Barriers, published in 2017 by SCI' s top journal Advanced Materials. There is no Chinese translation of this review. It not only introduces several existing methods for allowing drugs to penetrate the internal barrier of the body, but also gives specific experimental steps,as well as advantages and disadvantages of various methods. This review can be used by relevant domestic experimenters to learn, obtain relevant research results, and provide better methods of drug absorption.By analyzing the characteristics of the text, this report attempts to discuss the translation strategies of medical texts from the perspective of Applied Translation Theory. The specific translation cases in this paper are analyzed from the three methods of"Complete Translation Theory of Terminology","Complete Translation Methodology"and "Translation Context Theory" to transmit the information in the source language accurately and rigorously within the scope of acceptance of the target readers and on the basis of logical coherence and smooth sentences in the translation. This paper is composed of five parts.Firstly,it introduces the source of the translation task, the requirements of the client and the significance of the translation materials.Secondly,it describes the translation process which is composed of three parts:pre-translation,translation and post-translation.It introduces the selected translation tools and specific details in translation. The third part gives a brief overview of applied translation theory and its applicability to medical translation. In addition,it gives an overview of the current research status of applied translation theory and medical translation. The focus of the practice report is case analysis. From the perspective of applied translation theory, the author puts forward corresponding solutions to the problems in the translation process from terms, sentences and texts, and obtains corresponding translation strategies. The fifth chapter is a summary of this project. In this practice, the author explains the case translation through the analysis of the text and the guidance of the theory, and believes that the application of applied translation theory has strong applicability to medical translation. Finally, the author hopes that the analysis of this report can provide some reference for future medical translation and translation of related materials.
