People have five sensational organs,and visual sensation is the most important one for it is the most direct way for us to sense the world.Hence,studying visual sensational words is necessary.“? kŕn” which has plentiful meanings and different sentence structures is a visual word we use most often in Chinese,and it has always been an important grammatical lesson.“Look,see,watch” are three frequently-used visual words in English,and the three of them can be translated into Chinese “?”.However,in sentence usages there is differences between Chinese and English visual verbs.Due to the complexity of Chinese visual verb “?” and the differences between Chinese and English visual verbs,“?” becomes a difficult grammatical lesson to master.At first,we discussed the meanings and structures of “?” and “look,see,watch”,after the discussion we compared Chinese and English visual verbs from four aspects,and we found some truths as follows: the main differences of Chinese and English visual verbs lies in their meanings;Chinese “ ? ” has more plentiful sentence structures than English visual verbs,for example,“look,see,watch” cannot be overlapped or add with complement and they have less set structures.On the basis of studying “?” and “look,see,watch”,we analyzed classification and the causes of native English speakers' error data which comes from HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus.According to our research,students' errors are as follows: the asymmetry on the meanings of “?”,the wrong set phrase of “?”,wrong complement after “?”and confusion between “?” and overlapped “?”.Combined with formation ofmedia language,we analyzed students' error from Negative transfer of mother tongue,generalization of target language rules,learning strategies and communication strategies.At last,we put suggestions on how native English students should study“?”.
