Chinese modal verb can be used for a broad range of purposes,and different modal verb can also convey the same meaning.This is not easy for Korean students at middle and advanced level of Chinese learning.This thesis intends to focus on the reasons behind the errors made by Korean students in learning modal verb by conducting a comparative study of expressions between Chinese modal verb and Korean modal verb.As a result,corresponding teaching design will be made according to the errors.Major contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly consists of research background and purpose,outlining of research contents and the review of the study results of predecessors.The second chapter is concerned with the comparative study of Chinese and Korean languages.The third chapter is concerned with the comparative study of semantic meaning between Chinese modal verb "??????????" and Korean modal verb "(?)(?)The fourth chapter is concerned with the comparative study of the use of Chinese and Korean words and grammatical structures.The fifth chapter delves into the reasons of the mistakes made by Korean students in learning Chinese modal verb by investigating and analyzing their acquisition of Chinese modal verb.The sixth chapter is a proposal on teaching design examples of Korean learners acquiring Chinese modal verb and teaching advice.
