"The Confucius institute is a non-profit educational institution jointly established by China and foreign countries.It is committed to providing Chinese language teaching services to people around the world,enhancing people's understanding of Chinese language and culture,and strengthening educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries."(1)Punjab university Confucius institute as the fourth Confucius institute in Pakistan,since was established in 2016,development has made many achievements,but also inevitably has a lot of problems.This article mainly through the literature material law,questionnaire survey and interviews and other research methods,in Pakistan's Punjab university Confucius institute of teachers,students,curriculum and teaching material usage,classroom teaching and so on has carried on the investigation and analysis,found that the Confucius institute in teachers teaching staff is not stable,constitute the structure unreasonable,the teachers level is not high;Students' learning enthusiasm and initiative are not high enough and their learning confidence is not strong.In addition,the structure and time of the curriculum are unreasonable.Students at all levels of the teaching materials only use one HSK standard course.The teaching mode and practice form are relatively single;Teaching facilities are very limited,teachers only use whiteboards or self-made teaching AIDS to teach,the existing resources-language lab is not fully developed and utilized;The mode of teaching test is relatively single,only the final exam,the reliability and validity of the test paper need to be investigated,and the test paper has not been evaluated later.There are some problems in phonology,such as the confusion of sound finals,the identification of finals and the writing order of letters,and the prominent problem of four sounds.Vocabulary is mainly the lack of vocabulary and limited to textbook vocabulary,for some quantifiers,adverbs of degree,compound verbs,negative words "no" and "no" and other parts of speech is not good,the difference between synonyms and polyphonic polysemous words is difficult;The main problems of grammar are wrong order and misuse,such as the postposition of adverbials of time and place and the misuse of the verb "yes".The main difficulty of Chinese characters lies in the difference between phonetic characters and ideographic characters,which is difficult to write,remember and recognize.In response to the feedback information listed above,this paper proposes the following solutions: the Confucius institute should strengthen the pre-service,inservice and in-service training of teachers,and actively train local teachers;Teachers should use the mechanism of reward and punishment and competition to stimulate students' learning enthusiasm.Carefully investigate and study,adjust and enrich the types of courses,more oral,writing,reading,business,culture and other courses;Enrich the types of teaching materials,pay attention to pertinence and practicality;Make full use of teaching facilities and resources,flexible teaching methods;As for the pronunciation problem,the teacher should use the teaching aid demonstration method,the exaggerated pronunciation method,the gesture simulation method,the belt sound method and so on the key to overcome;It is suggested that teachers should supplement common vocabulary,use situational method,morpheme meaning method,association method,clustering method and translation method to help students memorize,and timely distinguish and explain synonyms and polyphonic polysemous words.In order to solve grammar problems,teachers should make students to make a conscious comparison between languages,take sentence pattern training as the center,combine mechanical practice with meaningful practice,flexibly change sentence patterns,and concentrate on speaking and practicing more.For the problem of Chinese characters,teachers should establish the students' perception system from the aspects of strokes,strokes,parts,interframe structure and whole characters to strengthen the writing rules.They can also use the supporting text to help them memorize.They can also use the radical classification method,contrast method and other methods to help them memorize.The author hopes that these Suggestions can contribute to the sustainable and high-quality development of this Confucius institute,and also provide opportunities for other Confucius institutes to learn from and promote the development of Chinese teaching.
