The Research On Chinese Culture Vocabulary And Translation In Elementary And Intermediate TCSOL Textbooks

With the increase of worldwide cultural communication and the development of Chinese cultural soft strength,Chinese learner from foreign and domestic is getting more and more.Language teaching and culture teaching are indivisible,in the process of teaching Chinese to speakers of other language,cultural factor is significant.Chinese culture vocabulary is exactly the key approach for learner to comprehend Chinese culture and blend with Chinese environment.The translation of culture vocabulary in TCSOL textbooks directly affects the ability of learners to properly understand the complicated meaning as well as grasp the sophisticated usages.Therefore,from the unique perspective of translation of culture vocabulary,two sets of textbooks,New Practical Chinese Reader Textbook and Chinese Course,which are popular at home and abroad are taken as research objects.Through statistical analysis and inductive comparison of translation of culture vocabulary and translations in the two sets of textbooks,try to find out the shortcomings in the translation of the current textbooks and make some suggestions.
