The fact that culture teaching and language teaching are inseparable has become a consensus in the circle as exploring of teaching Chinese as a second language.Due to the fierce competition of cultural soft power presently,the construction of city image in TCSOL textbooks is related to urban cultural development.The integration of "fashion" and city image is undoubtedly a kind of innovation.The city provides physical spread factor for fashion,and fashion creates a unique city image in return.The fashion image of a city gives a specific display of China’s new look,which also gives impetus to well-spreading voices and stories of China.This study intends to discuss fashion image construction of Beijing and Shanghai from the perspective of text presentation in textbooks,including the congruence between text presentation and cultural orientation,whether the teaching effect is achieved,and the direction for future improvement.Analyzing the city fashion image of China in TCSOL teaching materials will be conducive to textbooks compilation and construction of Chinese image.Using the theories of fashion research and semiology,this study analyzes the construction of city fashion image in two comprehensive textbooks(Boya Chinese and New Practical Chinese Textbook)with content analysis and statistical analysis.At first,this study defines and analyzes the composition of city fashion image;then it counts the frequency of different cities occurrence.Based on that,this study expounds the dimension distribution of the city fashion image as well as the verbal and emotional attitude tendency when describing it.Following is a specific classification of the city fashion images corpus and pictures in the textbook.Finally,there is a comparative analysis of the City fashion images that occur most frequently.This study focuses on outlining the cultural composition of city fashion image in TCSOL textbooks,and exploring the overall impression of Chinese learners on Chinese city fashion image from perspectives of text output and audience perception.This is the key breakthrough and innovation of this study.According to the dimensional framework of city fashion image constructed in this study,the highlight of city fashion elements in the two TCSOL textbooks is basically consistent with its cultural composition,and presents different features.But in the specific presentation of geography,social life and culture,there are shortcomings and limitations in outlining the image of modern fashion city.Through textbook study,questionnaire and personal case analysis,there are four suggestions for the construction of city fashion image in TCSOL: Highlight the features of the content,avoid homogenization.Keep up with the times of the content and avoid lag,but also avoid too much construction of the transient figure;make the content specific instead of stereotype.Use diversified editing methods,which will add more fun and motivation for language learners to understand the culture. |
