Complement is one of the key Chinese grammar teaching, withnumerous and complex system, can be classified into several categoriesaccording to different functions and forms. Among them, the statecomplement in Chinese is of high using frequency, with complex structure,wide semantic range and strong contextual factors, being consideredemphases and difficulties in Chinese teaching.Proper use of state complement in proper circumstance can makelearners enable to refine their written and oral expression, to be closer toChinese people’s expression habits. In other words, if learners don’t grasp theChinese state complement well, it will cause communication problem.This article mainly searches for Vietnam learners’ errors on usingChinese state complement and conducts error analysis, so as to find morescientific and effective ways of teaching state complement. I hope researchresults of this article will bring some inspiration and can be applied inpractical Chinese language teaching, in order to get better teaching results,reduce teaching loads and learning difficulties, and set up the best way forChinese state complement teaching. In addition to serving teaching practice, Ialso hope to make my contribution towards the large project of secondlanguage teaching research.
