Role-play teaching meets the requirements of the new curriculum standard for primary school English.It is more and more widely used in primary school English class,but teachers still have some shortcomings in using role-play teaching.I will read many literatures and analyze the current situation with sending questionnaires and making interviews in my practice school,then summarize some problems,analyze the causes of the problems and put forward corresponding suggestionsFirstly,through a large number of reading and searching for literature materials,I can learn about domestic and foreign theories of role-play frontiers,elaborate the topic selection background.Then I will tell the theoretical and practical significance of this article,summarize and sort out related researches on role-play,so that the paper has a solid foundation.Secondly,I will define the concepts of role-play and primary school English role-play teaching,put forward characteristics and significance of primary school English role-play teaching.Through the PEP version of the fourth-grade first volume primary school English Textbook,I will put forward specific suggestions for role-play teaching.Thirdly,with questionnaires and interviews to teachers and students,I can investigate the current situation of primary school English role-play teaching.The survey results are summarized and analyzed,the problems of role-playing teaching are pointed out: role-play teaching is too formal;the choice of materials is too limited;leadin of role-play is missing;role-play evaluation is inappropriate.Then,based on the existing problems,I will describe the causes of the problems from three aspects: the aim of role-play teaching presupposition,conditions for role-play teaching situations,and evaluation of role-play teaching effects.Finally,the corresponding improvement strategies are proposed: enrich the forms of role-play and closely integrate with classroom teaching;select appropriate materials to expand the scope of materials;diversify and introduce role-play,which can provide a reference for the smooth development of role-play teaching in the future.
