| With the in-depth development of economic globalization,the coordinated economy and the sharing economy have become the main trend of market economy,which draws the enterprises’increasing attention to the supply chain.This report is based on the translation practice of the complex sentences in the first two chapters from the book Strategic Analysis of Supply Chain Design written by Douglas Macbeth.The text introduces the challenges faced by organizations from the establishment to the development,the financial objectives that organizations need to set up and the influence of market demand and marketing on the supply chain design.This report takes Hans Vermeer’s skopos theory as the guiding principle and follows the principles of skopos,coherence and faithfulness to explore,the translation methods of the complex sentences.The author finds that the complex sentences in the translation text are characterized by three main features,namely involving subordinate clauses,modifiers and parentheses frequently.Based on the translation practice,the author concludes four translation methods to tackle the complex sentences in the text,including linearity,embedding,division,and restructuring method Hopefully the present report can propose some effective solutions for the translation of complex sentences in business texts and provide a reference for the future translation related to the supply chain. |
