The period from 1927 to 1945 was a period in which the development of education in western Inner Mongolia was moving towards modernization.Starting with the establishment of the Mongolian-Tibetan Education Department in 1929 by the Ministry of Education of the National Government,the institution responsible for promoting the development of education and culture in the Mongolian-Tibetan region,the central government,the Mongolian Banner local government and other practical entities established border schools in western Inner Mongolia and achieved certain effects.The article mainly analyzes the specific implementation process and characteristics of border education in western Inner Mongolia during the period of the Republic of China,and it can be seen from the schools set up by the Ministry of Education in the YehJoo League.First of all,elementary education has a high proportion and is valued Secondly,the facilities and levels of each elementary school are relatively complete,with affiliated clinics,farms and other facilities.Finally,the course offers Mongolian language courses.Students are passionate about social propaganda and have made certain achievements.However,due to the war and the lack of financial,the social education undertakings promoted by elementary schools have not received widespread social recognition and influence.The educational development run by the Mongolia region has three characteristics:Mongolia princes,officials,and gentry act as the principals of Mongolia schools;Mongolia Primary School is often closed due to the influence of the social situation;Mongolia princes and power figures attach importance to war education and schools educationThe Central government and the Ulancab and YehJoo Leagues of the Mongolian governments in the western region of Inner Mongolia also have positive educational interactions on border education issues 1.After the Central government proposed measures and plans to promote the development of Mongolian education,the Suiyuan Provincial Government and the Mongolian Banner Government of the Uygur and Iraqi Leagues were able to respond in quickly.2.The Central Government and the Suiyuan Provincial Government dispatched education inspectors and supervisors to the Iraqi League to inspect the development of education and assist the YehJoo Leagues to adjust schools.3.During the War of Resistance against Japan,the princes or officials of the YehJoo Leagues League hoped that the Ministry of Education would attach importance to the development of education in the border areas and that the Ministry of Education could make decisions quicklyThe frontier education promoted by the Central government and the Mongolian local government during the period of the Republic of China in the western region of Inner Mongolia maintained the social stability in the western region of Inner Mongolia and cultivated a group of Mongolian talents;It changed the traditional concept of Mongolian society that ignored education and impacted the feudal prince system,and promoted the development of modernization of education in western Inner Mongolia.However,due to the lack of development of supporting facilities,the instability of the social situation in the western part of Inner Mongolia,and the imperfect system of the Mongolian government's finances,etc.,the effect was limited.At the same time,it brings some enlightenments to modern society:First,the development of education in border areas must solve the problems of people's livelihood;the second is to adopt a variety of policies to encourage graduating students from border areas to return to their hometowns for employment,while improving the benefits of faculty and staff and attracting students to engage in education.It is that education management power needs to be unified.
