With the rapid development of educational information technology and the advent of the “Internet plus” era,all kinds of electronic devices make fragmented,mobile and autonomous learning possible.Under the background of deep integration of Internet and education,micro lecture has gradually entered people's field of vision,and micro lecture learning mode has begun to have an important impact on classroom teaching activities.The characteristics of micro lecture such as dynamic,flexible and refined etc,are not only conducive to the organization of flipped classroom activities,but also provide students with rich and diverse learning resources.The application of micro lecture in English teaching can help students speed up their language cognition,deepen their discourse understanding and help them consciously construct the context.English teaching in China lacks the actual language environment.Among the English materials that students contact,the written materials are more popular than the audio-visual materials.Reading has naturally become the main input mode of English learners.In addition,the importance of reading is also reflected in various forms of English tests,such as: CET-4,CET-6,TEM-4,TEM-8,IELTS,TOEFL and so on.No matter in the amount of questions or in the score,the proportion of reading is very large.The cultivation of reading ability involves many aspects.It's difficult to achieve it by relying solely on the teacher's explanation.Moreover,the teacher-led teaching method is not consistent with the vision of cultivating students' English subject literacy.Therefore,the innovation of reading teaching has been attached great importance by schools and teachers.The English curriculum standard for senior high school(2017 Edition)clearly states: “senior high school should pay attention to the reform of teaching mode and learning mode under the background of modern information technology,make full use of information technology,promote the deep integration of information technology and curriculum teaching,scientifically organize and carry out online and offline hybrid teaching according to the characteristics of English learning in the information environment,and enrich curriculum resources,expand learning channels.” Therefore,the application of micro-lectures in high school English reading teaching is in line with the development trend of education.First of all,the topics of reading comprehension are very diverse,involving a wide range of background knowledge.Micro lectures can be used to refine and popularize necessary background knowledge for students with its characteristics of short,concise and targeted.Using micro lectures before class to spread background knowledge to students can pave the way for the subsequent reading process.Secondly,the reading test actually examines students' various reading skills,such as comprehension ability,reasoning ability,inductive ability,etc.In order to enable students to effectively master some reading skills,teachers can flexibly use micro-lectures to design reading training.Finally,the unique characteristics of micro-lecture include fast forward,fast backward,replay,fast retrieval and other functions can meet the different reading learning needs of different students.Under the guidance of TPACK theory and Constructivism theory,this study attempts to explore the impact of applying micro lecture in senior high school English reading class on students and English reading teaching from the aspects of students' reading interest,reading ability and reading habits,which aiming to reveal the advantages of micro-lecture in senior high school English reading teaching.It mainly discusses the following issues:1.Compared with traditional English teaching methods,what are the advantages of micro-lecture teaching?2.What effect does the micro-lecture teaching have on high school English reading teaching?3.What implications does this teaching experiment have for future high school English reading teaching?This teaching experiment research was carried out from September 2019 to December 2019.A experimental class and a control class were set up with 100 students from two ordinary classes(class 10 and class 11)in grade one of Nanyang No.2 senior high school as the research objects.The two classes are not only close to each other in terms of gender ratio and academic performance,but also use the same teaching materials.In the experimental class,the new teaching mode of applying micro lecture into English reading is adopted,while in the control class,the traditional teaching mode of English reading is implemented.Some data were collected through pre-test and post-test,pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire,pre-interview and post interview.Finally,through the analysis of the collected data,it is found that the application of micro lectures in senior high school English reading teaching can achieve the teaching goal of students' reading learning and improve students' reading learning efficiency.At the same time,micro-lecture teaching can pay attention to students' individual differences and increase students' interest in English reading learning.In a word,micro-lecture is a useful tool for students to carry out personalized reading and efficient learning.Micro lecture can not only improve students' English reading ability and their English reading habits,but also stimulate students' enthusiasm for English language learning.In addition,teachers also believe that micro-lecture teaching is an efficient integration of educational technology and English reading course,which helps to improve the efficiency of English teaching.
