The Multi-angle Investigation On Time Adverb"Shuohua(??)"

This paper mainly studies the time adverb "shuohua"(??)from the synchronic plane.Using the theory of "little triangle" of exterior and interior 'value,this paper analyzes the corpus of time adverb "shuohua"(??)from the aspects of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.The full paper is divided into five chapters:The first part,the paper points out the reasons why selecting the title and significance of studying the topic have been pointed out,then it briefly reviews the current research status of time adverbs,speech verbs and the word "shuohua"(??),and introduces the research contents,research methods and corpus sources of this paper.The second part,the paper mainly analyzes the syntactic characteristics of the time adverb "shuohua"(??).On the basis of the existing research,this paper first defines the adverb of time "shuohua"(??),and comprehensively examines the syntactic performance of the time adverb "shuohua"(??),pointing out that the time adverb"shuohua"(??)appears in a more flexible position and can be used as an adverbial.When the adverb of time "shuohua"(??)modifies verbs,it can co-exist with "jiu"(?),"jian/zhijian"(?/??)and other components,or directly match with nouns.In the choice of sentence types,the time adverb "shuohua"(??)is generally used in declarative sentences,and occasionally in exclamatory sentences and interrogative sentences.In third part,it mainly analyzes the semantics of time adverb "shuohua"(??).The time adverb "shuohua"(??)can be used between two events to indicate that the latter event is followed by the former event;in the absence of the former event,the adverb of time "shuohua"(??)can play a transitional role in the event chain formed by the preceding sentence,or the time adverb "shuohua"(??)can open the event,which has the function of time background.In addition,the time adverb "shuohua"(??)also has certain semantic restrictions and requirements on the following components.The fourth chapter is mainly about the pragmatic exploration of the time adverb"shuohua"(??).This paper analyzes "shuohua"(??)from four aspects:pragmatic characteristics,pragmatic function,stylistic distribution and pragmatic value.Firstly,it points out that the time adverb "shuohua"(??)has such pragmatic characteristics as subjectivity,exaggeration and salience in the process of use.Meanwhile,"shuohua"(??)has the function of expressing focus and maintaining or changing turn.Then we find that the time adverb "shuohua"(??)mainly lies in News style and science and technology style are frequently used.Finally,it is pointed out that when they are used as time adverbs,the time of "shuohua"(??)can be concrete or fuzzy.The last part is the conclusion,summarizes the content of this paper,and points out some shortcomings in the research.
