Research On Wenxuan Jiwen By Yu Xiaoke

Wenxuan Jiwen was compiled by Yu Xiaoke who was an expert in the fields of Wen Xuan Study.It is constitutive of 30 volumes.The author has extensively collected articles about Wen Xuan in the works of scholars since the Song Dynasty and annotated volume and chapter.In addition,a great deal of emendations and judgments by Yu Xiaoke were added.This work makes great achievements in the study of the Exegetics,Textual Criticism,Historical Research and Literature,especially in the Exegetics and Textual Criticism.Wen Xuan Study is an important work.There are lots of powerful research on Wen Xuan.But for the Wenxuan Jiwen,there is no comprehensive and specialized research has been done on this work.In view of this,based on the available information and with exegetics,compilation collation knowledge,this paper try to give it an fair and objective evaluation.This paper is divided into five parts:Chaper One is the introduction of the paper.Basically introducing the research background,general situation,the significance of the framework and methods.Chaper Two is the stuty of the contents of Wenxuan Jiwen.The main research content includes two aspects:exegesis and emendation.Categories of exegesis mainly include the following three kinds:illustrating the meanings of words and distinguishing correct and incorrect usages;determining the pronunciation and descripting the historical phonetic changes;researching ceremonies and propriety,names and descriptions of things.Categories of collation mainly include the following two kinds:collating scripts;collating texts and books.Chaper Three mainly summarizes the methods and characteristics of Wenxuan Jiwen,including paying attention to multiple recording content;having correct ideas;seeking truth from facts.Chaper Four mainly discusses the academic achievements of Wenxuan Jiwen.The research of Yu Xiaoke provides corroborative evidence for the study on Li Shan's annotations.Furthermore,this is a development of a method of learning Wen Xuan.Chaper Five focuses on the analysis of its shortcomings,including not distinguishing old annotations;deviating extent from normal range of Wen Xuan;some quotations are not concise.Also,there are some mistakes in detail.Finally come to the conclusion that Yu Xiaoke's work offers experience and stimulation on the Wen Xuan Study,but there are also mistakes that cannot be ignored.
