Local culture is a window for overseas students to know China.Knowing the local culture will help them adapt to studying and living in China more quickly and understand China more fully.As an important part of Chinese culture,Minnan(South Fujian)culture is famous for its profound cultural heritage,and it has a certain correlation and similarity with Southeast Asian culture.At present,China and ASEAN cooperate more and more closely,and there are more and more overseas students coming to China from Southeast Asia.But there are few studies about Southeast Asian students' cognitive situation to Minnan culture.It is of positive significance to explore Southeast Asian students' cognitive situation to Minnan culture and combine it with Teaching Chinese to Speakers of other Languages.Therefore,this thesis takes Southeast Asian students from Huaqiao University as the research object,and obtains first-hand data and information through literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method,and explores their cognitive situation to Minnan culture.Through questionnaire survey and SPSS data analysis,supplemented by case interviews,the following conclusions were reached: Overseas students from Southeast Asia have low awareness of Minnan culture;On specific cultural projects,the highest degree of recognition is the geographical tourism,festival customs,food culture and other cultural content in the form of physical display,can be personally experienced.The lowest level degree of recognition is focused on literature and art,spiritual connotation,religion and other spiritual content;There were significant differences in the cognitive level between overseas Chinese students and other foreign students,and the former has a higher degree of cognition than the latter.There were no significant differences in gender,grade,major and learning time;After coming to China,southeast Asian students learn about Minnan culture mainly through social communication,classroom learning and extracurricular activities,most of them have interest and demand for Minnan culture.Finally,based on the above conclusions,we put forward feasible suggestions from three aspects: We will vigorously develop cultural communication in the Southern Fujian,further play the role of the school cultural exchange platform,teachers improve their professional quality.In order to increase the Southeast Asian students' interest in Minnan culture and increase its international influence.
