"Violence" has been the focus of research in the academic world for many years, and it is also one of the most concerned and thoughtful questions of the New Marxist pioneer scholar Zizek. He opposed the kind of restriction of gaze to the social phenomenon of irrational subjective violence, and condemns the simplistic understanding of violence, such as simply condemning visual violent terrorist acts.Zizek thoroughly explored the nature of "violence" by perfectly blending the theories of Hegel,Lacan, and Marx.Zizek emphasizes the three-dimensional and multi-dimensional analysis of the connotation of violence, and especially to break the traditional thinking limitation, transform the thinking perspective, and use a "squint" way to gain insight into the two objective violences of "symbolic violence" and "systematic violence" which hidden behind irrational "subjective violence."Symbolic violence" is Zizek's improvement of Foucault's "verbal violence" with the help of Lacan's psychoanalysis. Its purpose is to draw people's attention to "systemic violence" which is more closely linked to the Capitalist politics and economy.Zizek pointed out that the "systemic violence" of capitalism is a repressive force with strong hiding power and easily be overlooked. It is a "violence" belonging to the basic level of society and has strong binding power and will definitely harm the society. Therefore,Zizek believes that these two more covert and destructive objective violence are the focus of the violence study and that the systematic violence hidden by the capitalist system is the focus of criticism.Zizek did not just stay on the level of criticism of "violence",but further integrated the criticism of capitalist "systemic violence" with the global anti-capitalist movement and the cause of global liberation, and creatively proposed two kinds of legitimate "liberating violence" against the capitalist system: "Divine Violence"and Battlerby's "Do Nothing" violence."Divine Violence" is inherited from Benjamin's theory of violence by Zizek, and is a revolutionary violence designed to destroy all lawsand boundaries. The "Do Nothing" violence is a kind of "subtraction politics" creatively proposed by Zizek. This brand-new form of "violence" is his most reliant weapon used to combat "systematic violence" in capitalism. After constructing his theory of "Critique of Violence",Zizek carried out active social practices, deeply exposed and criticized the nature of the "War on terror" launched by western capitalism, and boldly re-proposed the idea of "Communism" to replace the existing capitalist system.Zizek,as the firm inheritor and defender of Marx's thought, although he put forward many ideas of social change in the theory of "Critique of Violence",it still has obvious deficiencies and defects in the feasibility level of reality from the perspective of Marx's scientific practice. Therefore,it will be of more theoretical value and time significance to return to Marx's idea of violence to examine and criticize zizek's "Critique of Capitalist Violence" theory.
