A Practice Report On The Chinese Translation Of “European Waste Disposal Practice:Problems,Solutions,Prospects”

With global environmental problems becoming increasingly serious,environmental protection has become the focus of world attention.At present,Chinese and foreign experts have analyzed the problem of waste disposal from many angles,and have achieved remarkable results.Unfortunately,there are few translation studies on waste segregation schemes at home and abroad,and there are few translation materials available for exchange and reference.This paper is a practice report on the Chinese translation of chapters 2 and 3 of European Waste Disposal Practice: Problems,Solutions,Perspectives.During the translation process,the author deeply analyzed the components of each chapter in the book,and extensively consulted the professional knowledge on waste classification in the field of environmental protection,summarized the translation skills at the level of vocabulary and sentences.The author focused on the issues of understanding and expression in the process of Russian-Chinese translation of Russian scientific and technological styles,analyzed and summarized possible mistranslations in the translation.This practice report on the Chinese translation aims to accurately express the meaning of the original text,analyze the common difficulties of translating scientific and technological texts in Russian into proper Chinese,explore the methods of Chinese translation of Russian texts in the field of environmental protection,and improve the skills and strategies of text translation in garbage classification.Based on Nida's dynamic equivalence theory,the author hopes to guide translation practice and to summarize key points and discover general rules in the process of practice through specific case analysis from the vocabulary and sentence level,so as to deepen scientific and technological translation research.
