A Study Of Common Sayings In The Travels Of The Old Disabled

Since the 1980s,scholars have paid more and more attention to the study of slang,but most of them focus on the ancient and middle ancient times,not enough on the study of modern Chinese,especially the novels of Ming and Qing Dynasties,in which a large number of spoken language and dialects are reserved,which provides us with materials for the study of slang.This paper selects the travels of the old disabled,one of the four condemnation novels of the late Qing Dynasty,as the corpus,and makes a comprehensive and multi angle analysis of the slang words in it,focusing on the comparison with the use of modern Chinese and the investigation of its dynamic evolution.The basic contents are as followsThe first part is the introduction part,which is divided into four sections:the first section briefly introduces the content and the popular version of the travels of the old disabled.The second section is the definition of slang.According to Zhang Xiang,Jiang Lihong,Guo Zaiyi and Jiang Shaoyu,the author thinks that the common words include dialect words and spoken words,which have the characteristics of colloquialism,era and region.The third section introduces the current situation of vocabulary research in the travels of the old disabled.In this paper,the author summarizes the achievements in four aspects:the study of individual words,the study of certain words,the overall grasp of vocabulary and the study of dialect.The fourth section introduces the research significance and research methods of slang.As a part of the whole Chinese vocabulary system,colloquial words can not be ignored.The study of colloquial words is of great valueThe second part is the first chapter,which mainly analyzes the folk words in the travels of the old disabled from three aspects:syllable structure,part of speech and word formation.Through the analysis,we can see that the vocabulary of the late Qing Dynasty has converged with that of modern Chinese.The syllable structure of common words conforms to the development trend of polysyllabic of the whole Chinese vocabulary.The use frequency of real words is far higher than that of function words.Compound words are the main way of word formation of common words.In compound words,the main forms are combination,partial positive and verb object.The third part is the second chapter,which mainly analyzes the common words in the travels of the old disabled from the perspective of semantics.Folklore has been ignored by scholars for a long time,and is considered to be "not elegant".Therefore,many works do not annotate folklore,which makes it difficult for later generations to read and often misunderstands it.On the basis of classification and interpretation,this paper tries to trace the etymology as much as possible.The fourth part is the third chapter,which mainly introduces the development and evolution of common words in the travels of the old disabled.The development of language is gradual rather than abrupt,and the development of vocabulary has a historical inheritance.Some of the slang words in this paper are inherited from the previous generation,and some of the words or meanings are only appeared in the Qing Dynasty or the late Qing Dynasty.The study of the formation of these slang words is helpful to the compilation of Chinese vocabulary history.The fifth part is the fourth chapter,which is mainly about the supplement and improvement of the Chinese dictionary.The Chinese dictionary is the most authoritative large-scale historical Chinese Dictionary up to now.It combines ancient and modern,pays equal attention to the source and flow,and contains some common words in popular novels.However,due to historical reasons,the study of folklore is still insufficient.Therefore,there are some shortcomings in the Chinese dictionary,such as missing words,incomplete meanings,incorrect interpretations and late documentary evidence.Through the study of folklore in the travels of the old disabled,we can improve the Chinese dictionary.The sixth part is the summary part.This part summarizes the standpoint of the whole article and points out the insufficiency of this paper.
