A Comparative Study Of Chinese And Russian Taboos

As a Russian student,I living and studying in China for all these years,so I have the strong interest in the Chinese-Russian taboo similarities and differences in interpersonal communication caused by thinking and research.Taboo language in the ancient and modern cultures of countries are extensive,like the changing times,taboo content is constantly change too,but the cultural influence of taboo in modern society has not weakened,taboo language is still important part of the language research and it has great research value.In our lives taboo language often occur,if the communication unintentionally uses the other cultural taboo,it will make the other person feel offended,thereby hurting other person's feelings.Different countries have different cultures and customs,therefore,division and usage of taboo principles have a big difference,a comprehensive understanding of taboo culture.Multi-angle taboo knowledge can be a basic prerequisite for the successful progress in intercultural communication.In relation to deep interrelation between China and Russia more and more Russians come to China to study,to travel,to do business,etc.,also a lot of Chinese people for various reasons go to Russia.In the different cultural context of China and Russia,people in communication will inevitably confront with a variety of communication barriers,and as a result,misunderstanding and even cultural conflicts may occur.In the process of cross-cultural communication between China and Russia,taboo language is an important and difficult thing.If we misuse taboo language in the process of intercultural communication,it will inevitably cause discontent and influence for future communication between the two sides.As a Russian student,in the process of learning Chinese in China,the author found the study of Chinese-Russian taboo knowledge,learning to avoid taboo methods and to avoid embarrassing situations can provide successful intercultural communication.The understanding of taboo culture directly affects the successful cross-cultural communication.This article takes the Chinese taboo language and Russian taboo language in intercultural communication as the topic,also it points out the similarities and differences between the both taboo languages,and on that basis explores thereasons of the differences between the Chinese and Russian taboo language.This article is divided into the following chapters:The first chapter consist of introduction,it represents the background and the research significance of the topic,the taboo language,Chinese taboo language and Russian taboo language's results of comparative research.The second chapter defines the concept and category of taboo language,also it analyzes the source of taboo language.In the third chapter,we compare and analyze the Chinese-Russian taboo language,summarize their similarities and differences,and analyze the cause of differences between the Chinese and Russian taboo language.The fourth chapter analyzes Chinese and Russian taboo's culture from the two aspects of Russian and Chinese teaching and intercultural communication.
