The Study About Calligraphic Achievement Of Su Shi During The Yuanyou Period

The nearly ten years of Yuanyou period,not only is Su Shi's political career of the "autumn of success",but also its calligraphic career changes and set the period of great success.During this period,his writing ability took a qualitative leap: from the pre-Wongyou style of "gorgeous workmanship" to the "old and vigorous" style of "powerful strokes.This strong and robust writing power,coupled with the gradual formation of the flesh since the end of Huangzhou period,eventually led to the maturation of Su Shi's "muscle and bone"(pure sheep wrapped in iron)typical style of writing.Su Shi's fame in calligraphy has also gone from being an unnamed before Yuanyou to becoming the main ally of the Yuanyou calligraphy world.It has also been revered in the history of calligraphy to the same level as other calligraphers of the same dynasty,such as Yan Zhenqing and Yang Ningshi.This period was also the peak of Su Shi's calligraphy.Of the nearly 550 pieces of Su Shi's handwriting(about fifty pieces of the unknown year),almost two-fifths of Yuanyou's nearly 200 pieces.Su Shi's calligraphic style and achievements are best reflected in this period is a multiplication of the best works.Among them both the Shu Wang Dingguo Suo Cang Yanjiangdiezhangtu Shi Tie,Ma Quan Tie,Yingzhou Dao Yu Tie,Xing Long Jie Shi Tie,Ci Bian Cai Yun Shi Tie,such as highly respected by scholars of the magnificent book,there are also often used by scholars and Han Shi Tie comparable to the Wuchang Xi Shan Shi Tie and Li Taibai Xian Shi Juan.Su Shi calligraphy in the Yuanyou can achieve such a great achievement,mainly by the following factors: First,in the Yuanyou period,An Shiwen and other Yan Zhenqing collection of true handwriting gathered in the capital,a large number of Yang Ningshi(and Li Jianzhong)of the title of the wall book seen in the Luo Temple,for Su Shi Yuanyou mechanics in Yan,Yang and pen power to provide an important material conditions.Secondly,Huang Tingjian,Mi Fu,Qian Xie,Qin Guan,Wang Gong and many others who are good at calligraphy surrounded Su Shi in Yuanyou period,and his writing ability and creativity were greatly influenced by the calligraphy of these people.Thirdly,during the Yuan-You period,the political support of Empress Dowager Gao enabled him to write in a state where he was able to write both in and out of the capital with his hands free.In the past,the academic community in Su Shi calligraphy staging study,mostly focused on the Huangzhou period,and it is believed that this period is Su Shi's change of law or set of great success period.The reason for this deviation is mainly due to two factors: one is influenced by the literary achievements of Su Shi's Huangzhou period,and the other is too arbitrary Su Shi writing achievements of the high "Han Shi Tie" in the Huangzhou period.Although both literature and calligraphy have the function of expressions,literature is mostly for "anger" and calligraphy is mostly for "pleasure",and there is a big difference between the two,so we cannot generalize.And for the nature of the transcription of the Han Shi Tie,alone on the Han Shi Yu Er Shou for the year,can not be further annotated.The post shows the book style characteristics and the volume after the Huang Tingjian's postscript and so on,all point to this work when the Yuanyou(such as the Ming Dynasty Gu Fu,the Qing Dynasty Pei Jingfu judgment),rather than the Huangzhou period of calligraphic works(more inappropriate to conclude in Huangzhou to study).
