The ability to use vocabulary directly affects the listening,speaking,reading,writing and translation of English.This shows the importance of vocabulary in English learning.However,the traditional vocabulary teaching method is still used in the current vocabulary class of high school.The traditional vocabulary teaching method is inefficient.Therefore,it is an important task to explore an effective vocabulary teaching method.Educational ecology places the class in the ecosystem,and studies the relationship between the elements of the class and the realization of the individual's self-worth from the perspective of ecology.The interactive teaching mode emphasizes the interaction between teachers and students,students and students,students and multimedia to construct a harmonious and interactive classroom.Therefore,it is feasible to study the interactive teaching from the perspective of educational ecology.Researchers have applied the interactive teaching to English listening,speaking,reading and writing.Although previous researchers have done much research on the interactive teaching,there is no empirical research on the interactive teaching mode in high school vocabulary teaching from the perspective of educational ecology.Therefore,this study attempts to integrate the perspective of educational ecology with the interactive teaching and intends to answer the following questions:1.What is the correlation between the interactive teaching mode and the vocabulary learning in high school from the perspective of educational ecology?2.In what aspects does the interactive teaching mode from the perspective of educational ecology improve the effects of high school students' vocabulary learning?3.What are the changes of the students' attitudes towards the vocabulary learning after the interactive learning from the perspective of educational ecology?This study mainly makes a combination of quantitative and qualitative research and applies the interactive teaching mode from the perspective of educational ecology to vocabulary teaching in high school.Two parallel classes were selected in a high school in Liaoning province as experimental subjects.One is the experimental class and t he other one is the control class.There are 104 students in the two classes.The experiment was carried out in the two classes for 18 weeks.The interactive teaching mode from the perspective of educational ecology was used in the experimental class,while the traditional vocabulary teaching method was used in the control class.Before the experiment,a pre-test and a pre-questionnaire were carried out,in order to know students' vocabulary level and investigate the attitudes of students towards vocabulary learning.After the experiment,a post-test was conducted in both the control class and the experimental class to verify the effects of the experiment.Moreover,a post-questionnaire and an interview were conducted in the experimental class to detect the changes of the students' attitudes towards the vocabulary learning after the interactive learning from the perspective of educational ecology.The data obtained from the pre-test and the post-test were analyzed with the aid of SPSS 19.0.The independent sample T test and the paired sample T test were carried out on the data of the pre-test and the post-test.The C hi-square test was carried out on the data of two questionnaires.The results of interview were also analyzed.Research results show that: 1.The mean score of the post-test in the EC is higher than that in the CC,which means that the interactive teaching mode from the perspective of educational ecology is helpful for the improvement of high school students' vocabulary scores.2.The interactive teaching mode from the perspective of educational ecology can improve the effects of English vocabulary learning in terms of meaning,collocation and application of vocabulary.3.The interactive teaching mode from the perspective of educational ecology can effectively improve the students' interest in vocabulary learning,and increase the interaction and communication in vocabulary teaching.It can also enhance students ' cooperation consciousness so as to form an ecological class.The interactive teaching mode from the perspective of educational ecology is applied to vocabulary teaching,which provides a new perspective for further study in both theoretical and practical sense.
