A Report On Translation Of Autobiography

With economic globalization,cultural exchanges among countries are becoming more and more frequent.And the desire for life and successful experience,biography is loved by more and more people.Especially,the autobiography of foreign successful people is increasingly favored by domestic readers.The systematic analysis of the types and features of autobiographical texts,as well as the principles and techniques of translation,can provide some experience for the future translation of autobiographical texts.This translation report is based on the Chinese translation of excerpts from Phil Knight's autobiography —— Shoe Dog,supported by the translation theory of functional equivalence,and mainly analyzes the difficulties encountered in the translation process from lexical equivalence,syntactic equivalence and text equivalence,so as to summarize the relevant strategies to be adopted in the translation of autobiographical texts.Finally,the author makes reflection and summary of the translation practice in order to provide some experience for autobiographical translation in the future.
