English grammar is a very important part of English learning,but the current level of English grammar teaching in China is relatively low,there is still a long way to go before we can meet the requirements of the new curriculum standard.How to push forward the English grammar teaching is the problem that many teachers have been exploring.The author conducted a semester of teaching research in a middle school in Yiyang based on this question.This paper mainly discusses the following two issues:1.Can the “four steps and f ive links” teaching help students improve their grammar scores? 2.Can the “four step s and five links” teaching stimulate students' learning autonomy? After continuous in-d epth understanding and exploration,the author took a class of grade one as the resear ch object and took the “general past tense” as the case to carry out the “four steps a nd five links” teaching activity based on flipped classroom.First of all,the author div ides the teaching design of “four steps and five links” into six aspects,analyzes them one by one,and then carries out the teaching practice of it on this basis.This study mainly uses literature review and questionnaire analysis,and the author comes to the f ollowing conclusions: Compared with the traditional teaching method,this teaching mo de can be accepted by most students,and students also have the material conditions t o carry out this teaching procedure,and can also indirectly improve students' learning interest and enthusiasm.After the experiment,the grammar test scores of the students were compared with those of a parallel class using traditional grammar teaching.It wa s found that the grammar test scores of the experimental class improved significantly compared with those of the control class.At the end of the experiment,Finally,the au thor points out the shortcomings of this study.The results show that:(1)the “four steps and five links” teaching procedure can improve the English grammar scores of junior high school students.And in the joint efforts of teachers and students,It can good use to teaching practice.(2)the “four steps and five links” teaching procedure can improve students' learning consciousness and initiative,as well as their learning interest.
