With the development of society,people's living standards and medical conditions,the aging of the population is becoming more and more prominent.According to official data,by the end of 2019,China's total population reached 1.4 billion,of which 253.88 million people aged 60 and over,or 18.1% of the total population.Compared with the end of 2018,the population of 60 and above has increased by 4.39 million,and the rising proportion of the elderly population has not only had varying degrees of social,economic and cultural impact,but also will change greatly in the cognitive abilities of the elderly with age,usually as follows: memory loss,difficulty concentrating,reduced execution capacity,etc.The decline of cognitive ability of the elderly will directly affect their ability to live independently.Therefore,in order to improve the physical and mental health of the elderly and slow down the cognitive decline of the elderly,the author chose the fitness dance for the elderly,in order to slow down the cognitive decline by making the elderly dance for a long time,and enrich the old people's later life.Through experimental intervention,according to the experimental results,the research and analysis of the effect of fitness dance on the cognitive ability of the elderly,in order to slow down and improve the cognitive decline of the elderly to provide a scientific theoretical basis,but also for other future research scholars to carry out related research to provide theoretical reference.This study mainly used the literature method,interview method,experimental method and mathematical statistics method to study,selected 60 elderly people between 60 and 70 years old in Shijiazhuang City between the ages of 60-70 years old as the experimental object,the experimental object is divided into the experimental group and control group,the experimental period is six months.During the experimental cycle,the old people of the experimental group performed a fitness dance exercise at the Xinhua District Community Style Center in Shijiazhuang City,three times a week,one and a half hours at a time,while the control group conducted daily life normally during the experimental cycle.After the experiment,the following results were found:(1)The group comparison between the experimental group and the control group of the elderly showed a very significant difference in memory(P?0.01),a significant difference in visual space skills and attention(P?0.05),and no significant difference in executive function,calculation,language,and orientation(P?0.05)?(2)The intra-group comparison of the older people in the experimental group showed very significant differences in memory and execution function(P?0.01),significant differences in visual space skills and attention(P?0.05),and no significant differences in computation,language,and orientation(P?0.05).The results of the study draw the following conclusions:(1)Fitness dance can effectively reduce the cognitive decline of the elderly;(2)The effect of long-term fitness dance in improving memory,visual space skills,executive function and attention is very obvious;(3)Fitness dance movement in improving the elderly's calculation,language and orientation force did not show significant effect.
