A Study On The Place Names Of Ordos From The Perspective Of Cultural Linguistics

This thesis takes the place names of Ordos as the research object,discusses the language characteristics and cultural connotation of the place names of Ordos from the perspective of cultural linguistics,and further explores the relationship between them,revealing the rich historical culture hidden behind the place names of Ordos.This thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction,which introduces the reason of the topic,research status,research value,research methods and corpus sources.The second part is the study of the language characteristics of Ordos place names.This chapter mainly describes the language features of Mongolian place names,Chinese place names,Mongolian Chinese mixed language place names and other language place names from the structure and words of Ordos place names.The third part is the study of the cultural characteristics of Ordos place names.Through the research,it is found that the geographical names of Ordos are closely related to the topography,hydrology,natural resources,production and life,ethnic distribution,religious belief,social psychology,symbolic culture,ethnic migration,etc.They reflect the unique and rich national culture and regional culture,and is a vivid embodiment of social culture in this area.The fourth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the whole thesis and points out the shortcomings in the research.Through the research of this paper,we try to fully reveal the features of Ordos place names and the colorful cultural information behind them,in order to play a positive role in promoting the research on the place names of this area and inheriting the culture.
