Research On The Anti-climax Semantics And The Discourse Function Of "Fan Dao"

This paper explores the semantics of the adverb "fan dao" from the perspective of semantic function,analyzes the anti-climax semantics of "fan dao " in detail,describes the simplest format and the extended format of the "fan dao" module,and discusses the cohesive and comparative functions of "fan dao " in the text according to the logical relationship between semantic items in the module.The paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces that the research object of this paper is the adverb "fan dao",and summarizes the existing literature,points out the shortcomings of the existing research,and explains the research theory,research method and corpus source of this paper.The second part analyzes the types and subjective modality of the counter-expectation adverb.Through the comparison with the typical anti-climax pattern,it is proved that "fan dao" has the anti-climax semantics,and through the semantic analysis,it is found that the anti-climax semantics is the semantic basis for the realization of the anticipatory function of "fan dao".The third part describes the six semantic types of "fan dao" module based on corpus,including “A,C "," A,but ~ B,C "," A,not only~ B,C "" A,should B,C"," A,should B,but ~ B,C" and "A,should B,but ~ B,not only~ B,C",it also discusses the relevant variant forms and auxiliary means,and analyzes the causes of variant forms from the perspective of focus and modal words..The fourth part explores the textual function of "fan dao",which is mainly divided into two categories s: cohesion function and contrast function,based on the logical relationship between semantic item.The fifth part summarizes the whole paper and points out the shortcomings of the research.
