A Research On Japanese Translation Of Chinese-specific Term In Xi Jin Ping:The Governance Of China

With the implementation of the strategy of rebuilding Chinese cultural confidence and vigorously promoting Chinese culture to go global Chinese-specific term,as a unique result of Chinese society,has become a window to show China style to the foreign.The translation of Chinese-specific term to foreign countries not only plays an important role in in telling Chinese stories,spreading Chinese voices and interpreting Chinese characteristics,but also plays an active role in enhancing international discourse power,strengthening the construction of international communication capacity and elaborately constructing the foreign discourse system.The Governance of China II,as a typical political text,provides a platform for the international community to understand and interpret China's core discourse system.there are a large number of terms bearing the unique Chinese history culture and language connotation.At the same time it also reflects the unique Chinese culture and national conditions.These terms involve politics,economy,society,culture,life and other fields,which are full of distinctive characteristics of the times.Language is a mirror reflecting culture.The accurate and appropriate translation of Chinese-specific term not only spreads Chinese culture and enables Japanese readers to have a better understanding about China,but also promotes exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan.The thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is preface,mainly outlining the research background,research purpose,significance and the previous research.The second chapter mainly introduces the definition of cultural translation,the content of Susan Basnett's cultural translation view,and the practical significance.Chapter three firstly gives a brief introduction to the contents of The Governance of China.Then,on the basis of summarizing definitions of Chinese-specific term by different scholars,defines Chinese-specific term in the text and summarizes the characteristics.It also introduces the classification of Chinese-specific term.Chapter four,under the guidance of Basnett's cultural translation theory,this paper analyzes the translation methods adopted by six categories of Chinese-specific term from two aspects of complete vacancy and incomplete vacancy in Japanese culture.To explore how to deal with the cultural connotation of Chinese-specific term and whether torealize the cultural equivalence of the source language in the target language.Chapter five,as the conclusion of The thesis,summarizes the relevant results of this study.
