Due to the unique political attributes of the Chinese film industry, the Chinese film industry is developing a global network through the "co-production film" model, gradually moving from closed to open. The global industrial network connection brought by co-production of film has a profound impact on the development of the Chinese film industry. This paper intends to explore the specific impact of these external network connections on the upgrading of the Chinese film industry by analyzing the dynamic changes in the global network connection characteristics of the Chinese film industry based on co-production films.First of all, this paper selects all 519 co-production movies(limited to movies with relevant information)released in mainland China from 2002 to 2017,involving 1955 enterprise nodes and forming an annual network relational database.Secondly, this paper uses the social network analysis method to analyze the topology structure of the co-production movie network. The global network connection structure characteristics and governance mode changes of China's co-production films are dynamically discussed from the regional and enterprise levels. Finally, the global network connection structure characteristics and governance mode optimization based on co-production films are further analyzed to upgrade the Chinese film industry.Impact and give corresponding policy recommendations.Research shows that: First, changes in the characteristics of global network connections:(1)the scale of the network has increased. At the regional level, the network size has doubled;at the enterprise level, the network has grown sixfold. This means that more and more regions and enterprises have joined the Chinese co-production film industry network, and the scale of China's co-production film industry is growing.(2)Connectivity has been enhanced. At the regional level, connectivity increased by 152%;at the enterprise level, connectivity increased by 170%.This means that the links between the region and the enterprise are getting closer and closer, and the global network formed is deeper and deeper.(3)The average network structure hole limit has been reduced. At the regional level,it fell from 1.107 to 0.795;at the enterprise level,it fell from 0.486 to 0.271.Thi s means that the structural holes in the network increase and the chances of obtaining heterogeneous information between nodes increase.Second, changes in the global network governance model:(1)The power of the Chinese node in the network has increased, and the network location has improved. At the regional level, the region with the highest centrality has changed from Hong Kong to Beijing, and more and more domestic nodes have entered the top five in the centrality;at the enterprise level, the top ten companies in the center are in the production and other aspects of the production.Increased.This means that the power of the domestic nodes has increased, and there are more funds and creative cooperation with the outside world, instead of being in a purely technical reference stage.(2)The central potential of the network has decreased. At the regional level, the network center potential changed from 12.85% to 4.33%,and the value of the central potential tends to decrease. At the enterprise level, the network center potential changed from 9.39% to 6.79%,and the overall approach declined. This means that the power distribution of the network is relatively uniform, and the edge nodes gain more power. The governance model shifts from semi-level governance to network governance.Third, the global network connection based on co-productions has significantly promoted the product upgrade, process upgrade and relationship upgrade of the Chinese film industry, but the impact on the chain upgrade is still weak.
