In this paper,the geographical distribution of population in Fujian during the Daoguang period was selected as the research object.Using the theories and methods of history,historical geography and population history,this paper systematically explores the changing law of population quantity and the specific characteristics of population distribution in Fujian during the Daoguang period,and analyzes the reasons for this.During the Daoguang period,the population of Fujian grew forward and accounted for a higher proportion of the national population.Meanwhile,during the Daoguang period,the population distribution of Fujian prefectures was unbalanced.Among them,coastal plain area,prefectural county or suburban county population distribution is more concentrated,the population density is larger.The reason is the inherent restriction of the natural terrain and the imbalanced political and economic development. |
