A Preliminary Research On The Relations Between Okinawa And Taiwan In The Context Of Colonization

The intention of Japanese foreign aggression and expansion in modern times was first practiced in the occupation and domination of Ryukyu."Take Disciplinary Action Against Ryukyu" has an inseparable connection with Taiwan.With the defeat of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894,Taiwan became one of Japan's formal colonies.Japan transplanted colonial Okinawa's rule experience into Taiwan Island,Under the same colonial regime in Japan,exchanges between officials and the public and the opening of maritime routes between the two places,as well as the integration of Taiwan and Ryukyu as springboards.Tracing back to the origin of the relationship between Ryukyu and Taiwan in modern times,from the perspective of the relationship between the two,we can examine Japan's colonial mentality more profoundly.This research mainly adopts the method of literature analysis,On the basis of referring to the existing research results,this paper combs the relations between Taiwan and Okinawa under the Japanese colonial regime.
