A Translation Report On Non-fiction Literature From Three-Dimensional Transformation Perspective

In recent years,the influence of non-fiction literature has become wider,and the introduction proportion of foreign non-fiction literature texts has been rising.Unlike the general fiction literature,the non-fiction literature is a mixed literary style which uses techniques of the novel to reproduce events and characters as objectively and realistically as possible.However,there are not many studies on the translation of non-fiction literature,the three-dimensional transformation in Eco-translatology theory provides a new perspective for the translation on the non-fiction literature.Eco-translatology theory believes that the translator should make multi-dimensional adaptive choices based on the translational eco-environment of the original text and the target text,mainly focusing on the linguistic,cultural and communicative dimension.Translation strategies from three dimensions are discussed based on the characteristics of non-fiction literature itself.For the adaptive choice of linguistic dimension,the translator discusses some translation techniques such as the conversion of word classes and the voice of sentences,and the division and combination of sentences.For the adaptive selection of cultural dimension,the translator pays special attention to the free translation of English idioms and the use of Chinese four-letter words in the translation to ensure the accurate conversion of cultural connotations,avoiding misinterpretation.For the adaptive choice of the communicative dimension,the translator tries best to convey the original intention of the original text accurately by using literal translation and liberal translation.At last,the translator believes that the non-fiction literature has its own translational eco-environment.It would be impracticable to translate from a single dimension,the translator should focus on the combination and balance of three dimensions to achieve the best adaptive selection and transformation for the translation.Previously,there is no translation report on the non-fiction literature based on the perspective of three-dimensional transformation.Discussing the translation methods and techniques of non-fiction literature from the perspective of three-dimensional transformation,the report is expected to provide experience and references for the translation of other non-fiction literature texts and the application of three-dimensional transformation theory.
