A Report On C-E Translation Of Red Guizhou (Excerpts)from The Perspective Of Eco-Translatology

The translation of Chinese culture is a powerful medium for telling the story of China to the world,which can not only establish the international image of China,but also show the spirit of China.Red culture is the great spirit culture of the Communist Party of China in the revolutionary struggle,and its translation is a strong proof of telling good Chinese stories.This report selects five articles from Red Guizhou as the original text.As the red cultural text,it can not only present a series of revolutionary stories of the Chinese Workers and Peasants of the Red Army in Guizhou,but also demonstrate the greatness of the Long March spirit of the Red Army.Under the guidance of Eco-Translatology,this report selects appropriate translation methods and techniques to analyze textual cases based on the linguistic,cultural,and communicative dimensions of the “three-dimensional” transformation,in order to achieve the best translation.Through the practice,it is found that:(1)in the linguistic dimension,amplification,literal translation,division,and conversion can be adopted to the word adaption,syntactic adaptation,and rhetorical adaptation,so as to achieve the transformation of adaptive selection of textual language expression;(2)in the cultural dimension,it can adopt paraphrase,transliteration + annotation,and conversion to realize the balance and harmony of cultural ecology for the translation of ecological culture,social culture,and language culture;(3)in the communicative dimension,division,amplification,and inversion can be used to the translation of the telegrams,slogans,and discourse cohesion to pursue the best communication ecology between the original text and the target text.This report proves that the theory of Eco-Translatology has great guidance in this translation practice.In order to achieve the overall harmonious effect of the translation,the translator can adopt different translation methods and techniques to deal with translation problems at different levels.It can further maintain the coordination of the linguistic ecology,cultural ecology,and communicative ecology of the original text and the translation text,so as to better present the translation of this red cultural text.The value of this report is that through the English translation practice of this red culture text,it can enrich the application of Eco-Translatology in red culture translation and also provide ideas for similar translation practice.
